Message Without the dyno time it wouldn't have happened. Thanks for posting all of this for me. It is nice to have the recognition for sure.

Jon is right, Haltech was monitoring knock and I used the J&S to listen with, I did have it unplugged at the box. I had installed Deutsch connector during installation just in case something went wrong with it so I could drive it home. I was having spark issues so I took it out of the loop. Turns out it wasn't the J&S. The problem with both of those systems is that they have to be tuned to work properly. There is a sensitivity pot on the J&S and a map in Haltech. Good old listening was the best tool for me. Really ran out of time to extract max power. I think there is a lot more in it down in the lower rpms so hopefully JDAVE will let me back on the dyno for another session. Couldn't hear detonation with ethanol but found it easily with 91. I think the best way to dial in both knock systems would be to use headphones to set sensitivity to make sure that when you hear knock the detection is picking it up and reacting to it.

As for how much timing was in it? It was just enough not to knock ;) Really a number wouldn't do you much good because every engine will be different. I spent 4 months on my heads to achieve max flow as well as trying to remove areas I thought would cause knock.
